Amazon. com Help Print an Invoice

How to Print an Amazon Receipt

Amazon. com does not offer receipts like you would get at a regular retail store. When you need to print a receipt for a warranty claim, it can be confusing. Right on Amazon's site you can find "If you need a receipt to enclose with the form, print an invoice for your order." This says that Amazon considers the invoice as a receipt.

Now you must figure out how to print an original receipt/invoice for the item you bought on Amazon. If you contact the company that you are needing to make a claim through, you may or may not get any help in finding out how to print another receipt from Amazon. You will, however, get their requirements for what they consider to be an original receipt. If they are willing to allow you to use a duplicate copy of the receipt, then you can use these directions for printing out a receipt for an Amazon. com order.

What You'll Need

Here are a list of things you will need in order to print your receipt/invoice on Amazon. com:

Your Amazon. com login username Your Amazon. com password The approximate date of purchase The name of the item A working printer

Get to Your Account in Amazon

Step One: Go to and Log in to Amazon. com

Your first step is to go to Amazon. com. Then from there you will see the option of "your account" in the upper right of the screen.

If you are already logged in to amazon, then you still want to click the "your account." If you need to, then put in your username (email) and password. Remember, there is a password help if you happened to forget your password. Go to the next step.

Find the Order

Step Two: Click "Your Orders"

Look for "Your Orders," which is toward the middle of the page in an orange colored button with an arrow. В You have to click this before you can browse by date, which is what you'll be doing to find your particular item's order invoice.

Step Three: Search for the Item

You have two options for searching for the item. You can use the title and description to find it, or you can use the time of purchase to find the item you are wanting.

It might be a good idea to use the time of purchase feature, since you are dealing with making a warranty claim and you know that it had to be purchased within a certain amount of time.

Click View Invoice

Step Four: View the Invoice

There will be two options for you to choose: "View Order Details" and "View Invoice." You will likely need the invoice for your warranty registration or claim.

Simply click on the "View Invoice," and you will see all the details of your order as you would on a receipt. This is Amazon's version of a receipt.

Amazon Invoice

Step Five: Print the Receipt/Invoice

The obvious last step is to print your receipt on your printer hooked up to your computer, so you will have to make sure it's turned on, paper is loaded, etc. Then you can make as many copies as you need for your warranty claim or warranty registration.

SandraBach, Thanks for your suggestions for those who need to save all their receipts and export them. That should make it much easier for people doing high volume purchases for business.

SandraBach

I'm assuming most people need their receipts for accounting, budgeting, expenses, or taxes, and not just for returns. Did you know that you can automate your receipts now? Amazon and some other popular vendors make it possible to automatically import all of my receipts onto one dashboard with third-party apps like Greenback. I can easily find a receipt now without having to look everywhere. Some of these things you can do manually but if you can save time or not do it at all or do it faster then I'd rather do that. I can print a receipt, export bulk receipts as csv files to Excel, or Google sheets, or download pdfs. But where it's really helpful is syncing my receipts to my accounting. Greenback automatically attaches the receipt to the transaction for me and auto-populates fields so I don't have to manually type any data. It can sync to QuickBooks, Xero, and Zoho.

Find/Print an Invoice

Who:

Client: Matter Manager + Accounts

Why:

Invoices can be viewed and printed even if they are currently with the Provider. This function does not allow actioning of the Invoice by the Customer (approve/reject, place on hold etc.).

This procedure describes how to use the Find Invoice function to open a view–only copy of an Invoice and print it. See Related Topics for details on how to action the Invoice.

To find the Invoice:

On the LPG menu select Invoices >Find Invoices.

The List Invoices screen appears.

N1 – By default, the Issued From Date field in the search filters is set to six months before the current date. This prevents the user from accidentally starting a search for all Invoices in the system, which may return a huge volume of results. Be aware that you may need to clear this date in order to set up your required search criteria.

N2 - There are two types of Invoice that can be generated within LPG:

Tax invoice RCTI – Recipient Created Tax Invoice

N3 – To reset any drop down list, select the blank line at the top of the list. For example, selecting the blank line on Invoice Type means the search will find all types of invoice.

Fill in criteria to find the required Invoice(s).

Typically, you might fill in the Invoice # or Purchase Order No to find a specific Invoice or Issued Date From to see all Invoices after a certain date.

The following example shows how to search for all Invoices associated with a particular Matter:

A) Click the Search icon next to LPG No.

The Pick Matter window opens.

B) To search by LPG No, fill in the LPG No (or part of it) and press ENTER (or scroll down and click the Search button).

A list of Matters with matching LPG Nos is displayed in the search screen.

C) Click the Select button next to the required Matter.

Do not click the LPG No link (N4). This will go to the Matter screen so you are no longer in the Find Invoice function

The Pick Matter window closes.

N5 - The LPG No is entered into the Find Invoice screen.

D) Click the Search

The list of Invoices associated with the specified Matter are displayed below the Search button.

Click the View button next to the required Invoice.

A view-only copy of the Invoice appears.

To print the Invoice, do the following:

Click the Print

The Invoice Print Preview window opens.

Click the Print

If your computer is set up to access a printer, the invoice is printed on that printer.

Click the Close

The Invoice Print Preview window closes and the display returns to the Tax Invoice screen.

Click the Back

The List Invoices screen appears with the list of Invoices that you can view.

Tips & Troubleshooting

The Invoice can also be accessed by finding and opening the Matter. You can then go to the Engagement tab (N4) or the Invoices tab to see the Invoices associated with the Matter.

N5 - Click the Action button to go to the Invoice.

NOTE: The Find Invoices function (N1) is a useful search tool however it only allows you to view and print the submitted Invoice. You cannot use this function to action the Invoice.
