About International Products

Amazon Global Store products are international products and may differ from Australian versions in their fit, default settings, age ratings, and language. Certain products, such as software and DVDs, may be region locked against use in Australia. Product packaging, labels, and instructions may also be in a language other than English. You should carefully review all available product information to ensure that the international product you are purchasing meets your needs and expectations. When purchasing international products from Amazon Global Store, the seller of those products is Amazon Export Sales LLC, a US company (“Amazon US”) and you are the importer of record. As the importer of record, you must pay import duties, taxes and fees when the products arrive in Australia. To assist with this, Amazon Global Store simplifies this process by estimating the amount that will be due (the “Import Fees Deposit”) and adding it to the amount you pay at checkout. You authorize Amazon US to designate a carrier to act as your (or the recipient’s) agent with the relevant customs and tax authorities of Australia, to carry out the customs clearance for the merchandise, and process and pay the actual import duties, taxes and fees for such items. Should the actual import duties, taxes and fees paid to Australian Customs (on your or the recipient’s behalf) be less than the estimated amount that we calculated at checkout, we will automatically refund the difference back to the payment method used for your original order. You will not be charged any additional fees if the actual import duties, taxes and fees paid to Australian Customs exceeds the Import Fees Deposit we estimated at checkout.

How Amazon receives and stores your inventory

When you ship your inventory to Amazon for fulfillment, you can be assured that it will be stored in a secure environment.

When you send your shipments to our fulfillment centers, it is important to follow our preparation, packaging and labeling requirements so your shipments will be received quickly and accurately.

How Amazon stores your inventory

We store inventory either in bulk or in individual "pickable" locations. Media products are stored on library-type shelving in vertical, spine out positions with loose stacking to avoid "shelf wear." Specialty items like food or high-value goods may be placed in specific secure or climate-controlled areas of the fulfillment center as appropriate. .

If inventory is damaged or misplaced while in Amazon's control (in the fulfillment center, during delivery to or from a customer), we will purchase the inventory from you.

Once your inventory is received at a fulfillment center or receive center, it is available for sale. Reconciliation of shipped inventory may take up to 21 days. You can track the status of your shipment in the Shipping Queue with the status cycling through In Transit, Delivered, Checked-In, Receiving and finally Closed. During the Receiving process, your item barcodes are individually scanned and entered into the tracking system, the dimensions (to the nearest 1/10') and weight (to the nearest 1/10 lb) are captured for storage and fulfillment purposes.

Additionally, the store will offer quality, refurbished computers, making it a great resource for bargain hunters.
