Welcome to The Drop

HELLO and welcome to the Drag 'N Drop website, home of the PDF magazine for RISC OS 5 computer users - Raspberry Pi, ArmX6, Titanium machines and more.

Drag 'N Drop costs just £3.75 per issue (or £4.75 with programs 'typed in') and it comes out every three months. There are no subscription fees, just come back to this website to buy the next one. We regularly feature articles on programming in Basic and machine code, reviews of products, games, tutorials on using applications, and also occasionally articles for the 8-bit BBC Micro and Electron.

Finals Week Finale: DJ Mr. Anderson – (Trap)ped 4 Finalz (Mr. Anderson Trap Mix)

Finals week has only been good for two things studying, and mixing. I did a quick music search and found a bunch of songs from DJ Topsider, absolute bangers. If you havent heard of this guy check him out, his specialty is trap, and hes damn good at it. Anyways I downloaded a bunch of his songs added a few I thought would fit and wound up with this. Check it out, download it, play it, share it. I wont lie, its not the best study music though, enjoy!

Sunday Spotlight: DJ Mr. Anderson

Let me introduce myself, My name is Matt Anderson, I’m from Hopewell Valley, New Jersey and I am a junior at Springfield College, MA. I found DJing early into my freshman year and have been obsessed ever since. If you go to school with me you have seen me around the off campus houses, and various school events and I hope you like what you hear, but I guess I’m writing this post for the others. Finally, I found it, the filthiest remix of Kendrick Lamar – Swimming Pools. Props to Bird Peterson for getting after it on this one, from start to finish this track is epic. This is a real refreshment from the otherwise overplayed original. Bird Peterson is going to be on my radar from now on, and he should be on yours too. Take a listen; Happy Friday!

Cazzette – Beam Me Up

Cazzette I’m all over you this week, your killing it. This track from Cazzette is nothing short of a banger, plus the vocals mesh perfectly with the song. All around A+ for this one; for the second time this week Cazzette has really impressed me, they are coming out with some stuff that really stands out from the rest. Be sure to keep tabs on their upcoming debut album Eject PT. 1. Throw these guys a like on Facebook, a follow on Twitter and check out their profile on Soundcloud. Thirsty Thursday: DOSVEC – “IX”

DOSVEC who ranks up with mashup artists such as Kap Slap, and DJ 3LAU, has brought us another amazing production. His newest mashup “IX” is a chill blend of nine different songs includingVocals – J. Ben Westbeech – The Weekend (Cazzette ‘Strictly’ Remix)

Ben Westbeech, english singer, producer, and DJ definitely gave us something this weekend and then Cazzette gave us something to rage to. We should have known this one would be scooped up by Cazzette after their filthy remix of Alex Clare – Too Close. The Drop’s Halloween Special: Diplo & Friends – BBC 1xtra 3 Hour Halloween Mix

Diplo sticks to his guns in this three hour long continuous mix, dropping tracks that you would never think of while playing all the ones that you would. Diplo starts this mix with two hours of the newest electro and hiphop, and for the last hour he brings in System D 128 who flips the script and brings this mix straight to the hood.
