Amazon. com Most Wished For: Items customers added to Wish Lists and registries most often in Automotive
The Internet is filled with copious amounts of things that you really want to impulsively buy after a few glasses of wine, but probably shouldn't (at least not all at once). Consequently, wish lists are a glorious thing to keep track of all the things you want but your bank account can't allow yet, and Amazon's Most Wished For page is a particular goldmine of items that people are dying to get their hands on.
If you're looking for some gift ideas or a trendy new purchase, this is the place to find it. It's where people bookmark all those genius gadgets, beauty products, and housewares that are definitely worth waiting for, so it's an awesome place to shop around and see what other folks are falling in love with at the moment.
Here's how it works: Amazon tallies up how often a product is added to wish lists and registries and puts it in list form for your viewing pleasure. The page is updated daily, so things are constantly changing, though there are a few products that have been there for months, indicating that people just can't get over how damn awesome they are. It's also broken up into categories, so you can find something as specific as "the most wished for women's jumpsuit," should you want to. Here are some of the coolest items that have been at the top of the charts lately.
Amazon Wish Lists for Churches – Part 1
How Churches Can Use Amazon Wish Lists
For many churches and ministries, part of the purpose of having a website is to provide opportunities for people to support the organization. Many church websites offer visitors the option to make a financial donation towards the ministry, but what if someone wants to donate something more tangible? Having an Amazon. com wish list integrated into your church website gives visitors the ability to easily purchase specific items your church or ministry needs.
What is an Amazon wish list? Well, it’s sort of like an wedding registry, but it doesn’t have to be for a specific event. With a wish list, you can look at items on Amazon, and add them to a wish list, then include the wish list on your church website. Visitors click on the items from your website, buy them on Amazon, and they’re shipped directly to the church. Here’s the wish list for the church I pastor, and here’s another example of a wish list created by the camp I worked at in college, Crossways Camping Ministries.
Using an Amazon wish list instead of just asking for money or even asking for specific items encourages people who may not be otherwise likely to give to be willing to contribute. For instance, as a seminary student who’d previously worked at camp, I don’t have very much discretionary income, but I wanted to help my camp. Since I’m an Amazon Prime member, I have free shipping through Amazon, and I’m very comfortable purchasing through them. In addition, I happened to have some gift card money on Amazon that I’d gotten by selling books through their textbook buyback program. I was in a position where I wanted to help and I had gift card money, but not cash. When I was informed of the camp’s need through their wish list, I was willing and able to contribute in a way that I wouldn’t have without their wish list.
Creating an Amazon Wish List for a Ministry
So, how do you create an Amazon wish list? The first step is to have an Amazon account, which you probably already have. If you don’t have one, go to Amazon. com, hover over the Your Account button, click the “New customer? Start here.” link, and set up an account. Since you’re setting up an account for your church or ministry, Amazon suggests that you set up a new account with the organization’s name in the name field. You will need an email address to set up the account, but you won’t need any credit card information. You can skip the next page where Amazon asks what you like.
Once you have an account, to actually create the wish list, you’ll need to find a product that you want someone to purchase for you. It doesn’t matter what you start with, since you can rearrange your list or remove items later. For now, just pick a book or something. Here’s a good sample book: Church Marketing 101.
On the product page, instead of clicking the yellow “Add to Cart” button like you would if you wanted to buy it right away, click the smaller beige button below the “Buy New” box, the one labeled “Add to Wish List.”
On the next page, it’ll ask you for a name. This is publicly viewable, so name it something descriptive, like “Community Church Wish List.” Make sure the “Public” option is selected, so that visitors to your website can see the list. Finally, click the yellow “Create Wish List” button.
Setting up the profile is straightforward. You’ll need to add your shipping address so Amazon knows where to send purchases. This information won’t be displayed to the general public, but it’s important to have. The “Full Name” will be publicly visible, so make sure that’s your church or ministry name.
The next step is adding your birthday. Even though this wish list is for an organization not a person, you should still put something here, otherwise it publicly shows up as not provided, which just looks incomplete and unprofessional. Perhaps put Christmas as a birthday? The “Unique Facts” box gives you a space to say a few words about your organization. Unfortunately, you can’t put HTML links in it, but it’s still a great place to mention your website. If your church or ministry is tax-exempt, put the tax-exempt number into this box as well. The third step asks if you consent to receive email updates about your list. I’d say yes. You can always unsubscribe later if it’s too many emails.
There are a couple of other details to take care of before your wishlist is completely ready to go. From the wish list’s page (should be the one you’re on), go to “Manage this List,” then to “Edit Settings.”
There are a couple of things to take care of on this page. The first is to check the box to let Amazon share your address with third-party merchants. This lets people purchase items from Amazon. com Marketplace Merchants, sometimes at a lower cost than what it would be to purchase directly from Amazon. There’s no reason not to check this, especially since you’re using your church’s address. Next, check the box to identify your wish list as being for an organization. Put in your church’s website address. Also, note the instruction to put your tax exempt number into the “Unique Facts” box. Click the yellow “Save” button, and your list is ready to go!
What to Add
What you add to your wish list is obviously up to you, but I would suggest putting as wide a variety of things on it as possible. It’s also a great idea to put items within a wide price range on your list. To add an item, simply find it on Amazon and click the same “Add to Wish List” button that you clicked when you first created the list.
Some ideas are office supplies that you know you’ll need in the future, technology items, like computer accessories or a new projector, youth group supplies or games, Bibles, cleaning products, books, or really anything that you want! Keep in mind that some items on your list may be purchased right away, but there’s a good chance that some of them may never be purchased, so if it’s something you urgently need, this might not be the best way to get it. Also, especially for things like technology that will become outdated, be sure to periodically check on the list and remove things you no longer need. Remember, you can also always go back and add new items later.
Once you have some items on the list, you can add comments to the items and rank them by priority. Give a short description of how you’ll use each item. Remember, people want to be involved in inspiring ministries. Share what benefits having this item will bring. I also strongly encourage setting the priorities of the items on the list. Setting the priority helps people decide what to buy.
Don’t be afraid to put things on the list. You never know what someone might be moved to contribute!
Next Steps
Congratulations! You’re done setting up your wish list! Go to Part two for how to integrate the wish list into your church website and publicize it.

How to Use Amazon Wish Lists for Gifting

Over the past few years I have fallen in love with using Amazon wish lists for gifting. Whether it’s for Christmas, birthdays or just because, using these wish lists helps so much in sending gifts to the people you love! I want to break down how I’ve used it and gotten my family on board too, making all of our lives easier – especially when it comes to Christmas shopping and gift exchanges.
*What is an Amazon wish list, you ask? It’s a gift registry, just like a wedding or baby registry – but for any time! When someone makes a wish list, friends and family can buy gifts for them from the list and Amazon will ship them straight to their door.
Now, I want to preface this by saying that I know this is not the solution for every family or group of friends. That’s fine. But I think that it will work for a lot of people, because it definitely works for our family!
HOW TO SET UP AN AMAZON WISH LIST
If you already are familiar or have a wish list, go ahead and skip over this part, but scroll down to read the rest!
Before you can use an Amazon Wish Lists for your gift exchange needs, you need to set one up! (Before doing this step, you should already have an Amazon. com account and be signed in.)
From the Amazon home page, click the button that says ‘Account and Lists’ then hover over Your Lists. You will see some variation of this:
Choose ‘Create a List’ and then select ‘Wish List’ – follow the rest of the prompts. Giving it a descriptive name is good because down the line you may want to have multiple lists. My sister in law has a regular wish list, and a book wish list. I have a gift wish list, a home goods wish list (that I keep private) and so on.
HOW TO FIND AMAZON WISH LISTS OF YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY
Some wish lists are private – which means you won’t be able to find or see them. If they have public list, you can search for it by their name or email address and view it. Here’s how to do that:
Unless the person you’re searching for has a really uncommon name, it’s easier to use an email address to search for them. Once you find the right person you have the option to “Remember” them, which means that you save their profile to your friends, and then you can easily view their list whenever you want! This is awesome if it’s a friend or family member that you buy gifts for a few times a year.
HOW TO USE AMAZON WISH LISTS TO ORGANIZE YOUR FAMILY GIFT EXCHANGE
When I first discovered the ease and convenience of using the wish list for Christmas gifting, I started singing it’s praises to all of my family. It was pretty common for them to request a list from me each year right around Thanksgiving, so I started just sending them the link to my Amazon list. They loved it. Then they started to follow suit! Now, all we do each year is send out a reminder via text or email – “make sure you’ve updated your wish list!” Then, everyone does, and we can happily shop for each other, ship things straight to their door. (Amazon Prime for the WIN when you live far away from each other. )
If you want to get your family started with this, here’s what I suggest:
Step 1: Explain what Amazon wish lists are, and how to use them. Feel free to send the link to this post for them to read! Ask if this is going to work for everyone.
Step 2: Everyone set up their list.
Step 3: Make gift assignments, if you do it that way. In our family, we have a rotation. Some people do secret Santa. I know some people just give something to everyone – that works too!
Step 4: You can either send out your link to anyone who asks, or one person can gather each person’s link and send one big email.
Step 5: HAPPY EASY GIFTING!
I also will add that not every person has to be on board, but even if just a few are this will help streamline your holiday gifting!
WHY THIS IS SO GREAT
The obvious reason this is so awesome, is that you can get your family the gifts they actually want! The less obvious reason, is that using these lists helps other people to know what’s already been given, so you don’t have to worry about duplicating gifts. It’s amazing. The way that Amazon has this set up, is that the list owner can’t see what’s been already purchased for them – it doesn’t ruin surprises! BUT to anyone else viewing the list, items that have already been purchased, disappear from the list, leaving only the things that haven’t been bought yet.
Can I sing the praises for this enough? I can give my wish list to my mom’s side, my dad’s side, and my in-laws, and no one has to worry about getting me a gift that I already have.

I found this boook to be extremely informative with facts of on-line gaming and an entertaining easy to read book. As a gaming person I have often wondered about the concept of a guild and the true role of a member. The visions of one person has become a guild of many. This vision continues to expand and prosper.

I found this book to be a very enjoyable read. It shows us gaming history from the very beginning all the way up till present and shows us how one truly successful Guild has managed to not only survive but to thrive. It's a great read and has loads of interesting stories that even the non-gamer would enjoy. Anyone interested in fantasy or gaming would very much enjoy this book.

A friend insisted that I read this, someone who's recommendations I take seriously. I was skeptical, naturally. He found a sample chapter and forced it on me. The story got its hooks in me within the first 30 pages, and after that it flowed, it positively galloped.
As a contemporary author in the MMO genre, for my money, Sean Stalzer is the best

This book really helped me to understand what it really takes to become a guild and the amount of work needing to be put into it.

I'm probably a bit older than the average gamer, and am not a high-intensity, heavily-committed player. But reading this book was eye-opening. It richened my appreciation and understanding of the online game world immensely! Anyone who spends any time at all with MMORPG's must read this book to get an inside look at the gaming world and the complexities of the guilds that are so much a part of it.

The result is a worthy exploration of these two most important, and most dangerous, political events—and particularly of how revolution can lead to war."—New Leader "Walt finds balance-of-threat theory the most plausible explanation for the wars that follow. . . large-scale upheavals. . . . In his concluding policy recommendations, Walt argues that with revolution, neither appeasement nor intervention is appropriate for foreign leaders. Revolutions are practically impossible to export and very difficult to reverse. Optimism that liberal capitalism means an end to revolution is unwarranted, Walt observes, given religious fundamentalism, cultural diversity, and the emergence of protest movements. Amazon. com Most Wished For: Items customers added to Wish Lists and registries most often in ElectronicsThe Internet is filled with copious amounts of things that you really want to impulsively buy after a few glasses of wine, but probably shouldn't (at least not all at once). Amazon Wish Lists for Churches – Part 1How Churches Can Use Amazon Wish ListsFor many churches and ministries, part of the purpose of having a website is to provide opportunities for people to support the organization. Creating an Amazon Wish List for a MinistrySo, how do you create an Amazon wish list? On the product page, instead of clicking the yellow “Add to Cart” button like you would if you wanted to buy it right away, click the smaller beige button below the “Buy New” box, the one labeled “Add to Wish List.” On the next page, it’ll ask you for a name. From the wish list’s page (should be the one you’re on), go to “Manage this List,” then to “Edit Settings.” There are a couple of things to take care of on this page. What to AddWhat you add to your wish list is obviously up to you, but I would suggest putting as wide a variety of things on it as possible. Next StepsCongratulations! You’re done setting up your wish list! Go to Part two for how to integrate the wish list into your church website and publicize it. I’d love to hear your comments on these directions. Leave a comment to let me know if these directions helped you, and what I can do to improve them! How to Make Online Wish Lists for FreeMore in Raising K >Gift registries used to be available only for weddings, but soon they opened up for baby showers as well. Now you can create a registry, or wish list, for any occasion. Create one for each of your kids and make birthdays and holidays less stressful for relatives. They'll know exactly what you or your child wants, so no one will be disappointed, and the gift-giving process becomes easier for everyone. Some wishlist even allows the gift buyer to mark off gifts that have been purchased to cut down on duplicate gifts. What to Look for in a Wishlist WebsiteThis list gives you the top-recommended wish list registries currently available. They're all free! If you decide to venture out to find one on your own, look for a site that:
Amazon's Universal WishlistAmazon was one of the first sites that encouraged the creation of personal wish lists for birthdays and holidays. When they first introduced the idea, you were limited to the products that Amazon carries. Now, with the simple click of a button, you can add an item from anywhere on the web. You can keep your lists organized, and others can easily buy from it with no searching required. In addition to books, CDs, and movies, you can find clothes, electronics, household items, tools, school supplies, furniture, and even grocery items. As a bonus, Amazon has excellent discounts and free shipping on many of their products. Although Pinterest doesn't allow you to buy directly from the site, it's an easy way to quickly save products you come across as you search the web. An easy-to-install web browser extension allows you to save any picture across the web to an organized board that you create. You do need an account to use Pinterest, but it's free, and boards are easy to share with anyone you choose. You can follow your favorite people for ideas in one go-to spot, too. Wishpot. comThis wish list is great for two reasons: You can easily import your Amazon wishlist to it, and you can scan items of barcodes with your phone to add to them your list. This way, you'll never forget about an item you wanted to buy at the store. Plus you can integrate this service with Facebook for easy sharing! WishList. comWishList. com is a basic wishlist site without any of the social networking bells and whistles some other sites have. That said, in addition to using an easy-to-use bookmarklet to add items from anywhere on the web, you can use a camera phone to send items directly to your account while out shopping. Now that's a feature most other services don't offer! Another perk: The website sends you the best deals and price alerts so that you (and others) can save money on the things you want. Plus, if you know someone who has a wish list, you can quickly search for it and surprise them with their most desired gift. Google SheetsImage Source/Getty Images If you need a wishlist that's a bit more collaborative, Google Sheets has got you covered. While you will need a Google account to create and access it, the spreadsheets are easy to create and use. You can share it with anyone you like and use your phone to make changes at any time. Best of all it's free to use! How to Use Amazon Wish Lists for GiftingHome » Gifts » How to Use Amazon Wish Lists for Gifting Published July 1, 2018 Last Updated June 10, 2019 / By Sarah 11 Comments *This post contains affiliate links Over the past few years I have fallen in love with using Amazon wish lists for gifting. HOW TO SET UP AN AMAZON WISH LISTIf you already are familiar or have a wish list, go ahead and skip over this part, but scroll down to read the rest! Before you can use an Amazon Wish Lists for your gift exchange needs, you need to set one up! (Before doing this step, you should already have an Amazon. com account and be signed in.) From the Amazon home page, click the button that says ‘Account and Lists’ then hover over Your Lists. You will see some variation of this: Choose ‘Create a List’ and then select ‘Wish List’ – follow the rest of the prompts. Giving it a descriptive name is good because down the line you may want to have multiple lists. My sister in law has a regular wish list, and a book wish list. I have a gift wish list, a home goods wish list (that I keep private) and so on. HOW TO FIND AMAZON WISH LISTS OF YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILYSome wish lists are private – which means you won’t be able to find or see them. If they have public list, you can search for it by their name or email address and view it. Here’s how to do that: Unless the person you’re searching for has a really uncommon name, it’s easier to use an email address to search for them. Once you find the right person you have the option to “Remember” them, which means that you save their profile to your friends, and then you can easily view their list whenever you want! This is awesome if it’s a friend or family member that you buy gifts for a few times a year. HOW TO USE AMAZON WISH LISTS TO ORGANIZE YOUR FAMILY GIFT EXCHANGEWhen I first discovered the ease and convenience of using the wish list for Christmas gifting, I started singing it’s praises to all of my family. (Amazon Prime for the WIN when you live far away from each other. ) If you want to get your family started with this, here’s what I suggest: Step 1: Explain what Amazon wish lists are, and how to use them. Feel free to send the link to this post for them to read! Ask if this is going to work for everyone. I also will add that not every person has to be on board, but even if just a few are this will help streamline your holiday gifting! WHY THIS IS SO GREATThe obvious reason this is so awesome, is that you can get your family the gifts they actually want!
