About Feedback Manager



Feedback Manager provides buyer insights to your business. You can view short and long-term seller rating metrics, including detailed feedback entries.



The importance of feedback



Buyers can submit only one feedback comment per order. The link to leave seller feedback is on the main Amazon website, on the Your Order page in Your Account, and is available to buyers 3 days after the order has been confirmed.



We encourage you to resolve any situations by researching the root cause behind each negative rating, addressing the buyer's concerns, and making improvements to your processes and policies. For tips on managing feedback, see Improve your feedback rating.



What ratings mean



To leave feedback, a buyer must rate you using a 5-star system:

    Positive feedback: 5 or 4 stars Neutral feedback: 3 stars Negative feedback: 2 or 1 stars



Feedback percentages are rounded off to the nearest whole number and therefore your totals can sometimes add up to 99% rather than 100%. For example, if a seller has 1,001 positive, 15 neutral, and 4 negative ratings, for a total of 1,020 ratings, the percentages will show as 98% (rounded off from.981), 1% (rounded off from.014), and 0% (rounded off from.003), for a total of 99%.



We calculate your feedback score using the following method:



SUM (positive feedback) / SUM (all feedback) for feedback left in the last 30 days, 90 days, 365 days, and lifetime



For example, suppose you have the following feedback scores:

We aggregate your feedback into 30 days, 90 days, 365 days, and lifetime time-range buckets. In time, your aggregated star rating and positive feedback percentage will change accordingly as your feedback rolls through each time-range bucket.



How ratings are displayed to customers



If you have more than 10 buyer feedbacks over the previous 12 months, customers will see your 12 month feedback rating and lifetime feedback total ratings in the following format on the Offer Listings page:



XX% positive over the past 12 months. (YYYY total ratings).



If you have less than 10 buyer feedbacks in the previous 12 months, or all of your feedbacks are in the past year, customers will see your lifetime feedback rating and lifetime feedback total ratings in the following format on the Offer Listings page:



XX% positive. (YYYY total ratings).



Understanding Feedback Manager



The Feedback Manager consists of two tables:



The Feedback Rating table displays your feedback rating for the past 12 months, as well as your percentages and corresponding actual feedback counts for 30 days, 90 days, 365 days, and lifetime.



The Recent Feedback table is ordered by the date when feedback was received and displays actual feedback with associated Order ID and rating.



In Recent Feedback, you can take the following actions:

    View feedback comments. Post a public reply. Contact customers. Request removal of incorrect feedback (depending on certain cases).



If you would like to contact a buyer in regards to an order or a question, you can contact them directly using the Buyer-Seller Messaging Service templates. For more information, see Email templates for Buyer-Seller Messaging.



Incorrect feedback



If a buyer makes a mistake when evaluating and submitting feedback, you cannot edit it, but the buyer can delete it.



If you would like to request feedback removal, you can make a request using the following action in the Feedback Manager:



In the Recent Feedback table, next to the Order ID you want to request feedback removal, select Request removal under the Actions column.

Create an eBook Cover



Browse the topics below to learn about creating an eBook cover. The cover image you upload will appear on your Amazon detail page. Before you start creating your cover, make sure you have all rights necessary for the content of your cover image and that it complies with our Content Guidelines. When you publish or re-publish your eBook, we'll automatically add your cover image to the inside. Do not include your cover image in your manuscript file.

KDP currently accepts two types of files for cover images:



We apply additional compression to images when displaying them on the website. For the best results, upload your images with minimal compression.



The ideal size of your eBook cover art is a height/width ratio of 1.6:1. This means that for every 1,000 pixels in width, the image should be 1,600 pixels in height. To ensure the best quality for your image, particularly on high definition devices, the height of the image should be at least 2,500 pixels. Ideal dimensions for cover files are 2,560 x 1,600 pixels.



Note: The minimum image size allowed is 1,000 x 625 pixels. The maximum image size allowed is 10,000 x 10,000 pixels.



Product images display on the Amazon website using the RGB (red, green, blue) color mode or profile. RGB is the color mode native to the web and many color screen displays. Displayed at varying levels of intensity, these three colors create over 16 million colors. When saving and uploading your cover image file, save your file as RGB (not CMYK or sRGB) for the color profile. Look for this option in the File saving dialog of image editing programs like Photoshop.



Some programs may also refer to RGB color as "True Color." If in doubt, try opening a JPG inside Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari. If a JPG opens fine inside a web browser, it's probably okay to use as a cover image.



Make sure to save your image without color separation. This is usually a pre-press or color palette option. Use your image editing program or image analysis tool (some are available free online) to verify that your image file doesn't have color separation.



When uploading your final cover file to KDP, you will see an error occur if there is an issue with color mode or size.



Use color images whenever possible and relevant. In addition to the Kindle black and white E Ink reading devices, customers can read your books on full color Fire devices and free Kindle reading apps for iPhone, iPad, Android, PC or Mac.


Go to your Bookshelf Click the ellipsis button (". ") under the KINDLE EBOOK ACTIONS menu and select "Edit eBook Content" Select "Upload a cover you already have" under the "Kindle eBook Cover" header When you see a pop-up window appear, click Browse to find your cover image file on your computer and click Open If your image meets our specifications, you will see a "Processing" message Once your image completes the conversion process, the message "Cover uploaded successfully" will appear, along with the thumbnail for your cover image Scroll to the bottom of page and click Save and Continue

You'll be redirected to the eBook Pricing page. Click the button at the bottom of the page to publish your book changes. For information on timelines, including details on new publications and updates to published books, see our Help page.



Note: The image you see in preview is only a placeholder while your book completes the publishing process.



If you don't have a product image, or choose not to upload one, we'll add a placeholder image to the Amazon detail page for your eBook. It will contain the title of your book and the first contributor name you entered. It can take up to one week to see the placeholder image on your detail page.



Having a product image, even if it's only a placeholder, is a better customer experience than displaying a message that an image is not available. We encourage you to design and upload your own image to capture customer attention.



To replace the placeholder image with your own image:



Go to your Bookshelf Find the eBook to which you want to add an image Click the ellipsis button (". ") under the KINDLE EBOOK ACTIONS menu and select "Edit eBook Content" Upload an image under the "Kindle eBook Cover" header After submission, the image will be reviewed and go live if it meets our requirements.



Did you change the title or author of your book and are unable to upload your own image? Contact us for help updating your placeholder image. We will delete the existing placeholder, which will trigger a new one to be generated within one week.

How do I change country settings?



Amazon has by far the best help section of any tablet manufacturer on the planet. See number 5.



Turn on the device. Press and hold the power button at the top of the device for two seconds, or until the screen turns on. Select your device language, and then tap Continue. Connect to a Wi-Fi network, if possible. If you're not able to connect to a Wi-Fi network, tap Complete Setup Later. However, you will not be able to set up your child's profile or add content to their profile until you are connected to Wi-Fi. Register your Fire HD Kids Edition tablet to your Amazon account. If you don't have an Amazon account, you can create one now. Note: The Amazon account you use to set up the Kids Edition tablet is used to set daily time limits or purchase additional books, videos, and apps to add to your child's library. You should use the Amazon account that you use to purchase physical or digital products on Amazon. You do not need to create an Amazon account for your child.

Select your time zone. The time zone is how you set the time and date for your Fire tablet. Select either Setup your child's account to create a profile now, or Setup later to create a profile at a later time. Add a child profile. Select an image for your child's profile, and then enter your child's name, gender, and birthday. Then tap Continue. Share content with your child. If you have purchased digital content, tap the check box next to each title you want to add to your child's profile, and then tap Continue. Tip: Tap For Kids to view recommended family-friendly titles in your library, or tap a content library (for example, Books) to view and select individual titles on your own. Set a lock screen password or PIN. To prevent your child from accessing device settings, web browsing, social media, in-app purchases, and more, you must set up a lock screen password for your profile. Launch FreeTime. After your child's profile has been created and has content added to it, you can launch your child's profile and they can start using it to make progress towards their educational goals. Alternatively, tap Set Daily Goals & Time Limits to choose different educational goals or time limits for when or for how long your child can use their Fire HD Kids Edition tablet. Tip: If more than one child will share the Kids Edition Tablet, you can create a lock screen PIN for each of their profiles so that each child only accesses content that is appropriate for them.
