404 means the file is not found. If you have already uploaded the file then the name may be misspelled or it is in a different folder.
Other Possible Causes

How to find the correct spelling and folder
Missing or Broken Files
When you get a 404 error be sure to check the URL that you are attempting to use in your browser. This tells the server what resource it should attempt to request.
In this example the file must be in public_html/example/Example/
Notice that the CaSe is important in this example. On platforms that enforce case-sensitivity EXample and EXample are not the same locations.
For addon domains, the file must be in public_html/addondomain. com/example/Example/ and the names are case-sensitive.
Broken Image
When you have a missing image on your site you may see a box on your page with with a red X where the image is missing. Right click on the X and choose Properties. The properties will tell you the path and file name that cannot be found.
This varies by browser, if you do not see a box on your page with a red X try right clicking on the page, then select View Page Info, and goto the Media Tab.
In this example the image file must be in public_html/cgi-sys/images/
Notice that the CaSe is important in this example. On platforms that enforce case-sensitivity PNG and Png are not the same locations.
404 Errors After Clicking WordPress Links
When working with WordPress, 404 Page Not Found errors can often occur when a new theme has been activated or when the rewrite rules in the. htaccess file have been altered.
When you encounter a 404 error in WordPress, you have two options for correcting it.
Option 1: Correct the Permalinks
Log in to WordPress. From the left-hand navigation menu in WordPress, click Settings >Permalinks (Note the current setting. If you are using a custom structure, copy or save the custom structure somewhere.) Select Default. Click Save Settings. Change the settings back to the previous configuration (before you selected Default). Put the custom structure back if you had one. Click Save Settings.
This will reset the permalinks and fix the issue in many cases. If this doesn't work, you may need to edit your. htaccess file directly.
Option 2: Modify the. htaccess File
Add the following snippet of code to the top of your. htaccess file:

The. htaccess file contains directives (instructions) that tell the server how to behave in certain scenarios and directly affect how your website functions.
Redirects and rewriting URLs are two very common directives found in a. htaccess file, and many scripts such as WordPress, Drupal, Joomla and Magento add directives to the. htaccess so those scripts can function.
It is possible that you may need to edit the. htaccess file at some point, for various reasons. This section covers how to edit the file in cPanel, but not what may need to be changed.(You may need to consult other articles and resources for that information.)

Turns out over 50% of people have forgotten a present at one point or another, and over 30% forget presents repeatedly! So today, let’s find out more about same day gift delivery in the UK.

So what made you start this website?
“Well, it was back in 2009 and I was trying to find a gift to be delivered on the same day. My partner had just gotten a promotion at work and I wanted to send her a gift to celebrate. Your site is called Same Day Gifts London, but you also list retailers who can deliver UK wide, is that right?
“Well yes. I started off making the site dedicated to just Londoners, but realised that a lot of companies actually delivered UK wide as well. This led me to add a whole new range of retailers and help a lot more people throughout the UK. There are some retailers however, such as Firebox and Treatme, who can only deliver in London same day. The majority however, do have UK wide delivery.”
Do you believe the popularity of same day gifts is increasing?
“Most definitely. As more and more of us Britons shop online, the higher our expectations become. We used to be happy paying for delivery, but now we expect it to be free. And last but not least – a bottle of champagne. You can’t have a proper housewarming without! This bottle is our favourite - reasonably priced and delicious. It came third in the Decanter World Wine Awards and won Silver in the International Wine Challenge – says a lot! Veuve Clicquot age their non-vintage champagne for almost twice the required time, which is what gives it it’s incredible taste.

This list is of our favourite same day gift retailers in the UK. If you’re looking for something with next day delivery, check out our other blog post – there is a lot more selection if you have an extra day!
After searching high and low on the internet one day (I had forgotten to get my mum’s present) I realised that no where had a list of all the retailers who could deliver on the same day. I had to search through loads of pages and double check their delivery policies before realising that same day delivery wasn’t an option. So I’ve compiled this list for everyone like me who needs a helping hand at the last minute.
Here’s my top picks for retailers who can deliver same day, UK wide. Each one of these brands has been tested by our team here at BestGiftIdeas. co. uk and handpicked for this selection (we have been indulging in some rather fantastic treats!). If you find any issues with any of these retailers, please feel free to leave comments below to help out others searching for the same thing.
1) Interflora
Interflora is perhaps the UK’s best known florist, and has a superb selection of flowers, plants, balloons and alcohol. The Interflora website works by creating a florist ‘database’ of flower bouquets, which is then sent to a huge range of local florists who are affiliated with Interflora. The order you place online will then be transferred to the nearest local Interflora florist, who can replicate the design shown on the website that you have picked.
Delivery information: Interflora delivers same day Monday to Saturday, as long as your order is placed before 3PM. There is a charge of £6.99 and above for delivery.
2) Red Letter Days
Owned by Dragons Theo Paphitis and Peter Jones, Red Letter Days offers a fantastic range of experiences for loved ones, which often makes for a rather interesting present. From zorbing to walks under the London tombs, to massages, holiday get-aways and more, there is absolutely something for everyone at this online store. The beauty of this particular retailer is within the delivery: all items can be bought online – and as they are experiences, all you need to do is print out their beautiful gift experience certificate to give to your loved one. And if you’re worried that the gift you’re buying won’t be appreciated, your gift recipient can log in online and enter the voucher code, where they will be taken to the website to view all the other gift experiences available – with the prices hidden! Oh yes, Amazon finally delivers on the same day! You can get things delivered under ‘Evening Delivery’, which costs £14.99 per delivery, or £7.48 if you’re a member of Amazon Prime. Awesome. But deliveries are only available to postcodes that are within areas within the M25 in London, as well as select postcodes in Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Sheffield, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bristol and Cardiff. Delivery information: The gifts will arrive between 18:00 and 22:00 Monday to Friday and between 16:00 and 20:00 on Saturdays and Sundays. Deliveries require a signature, otherwise they will be redelivered on another day.

Yes, we have listed another florist, but only because this one is particularly good. Their designs of flowers are much more modern than both Interflora and Flowers Direct and particularly suit the younger generation – though of course they do have a healthy supply of more traditional designs. iFlorist have a great customer service team, with live chat available if you have any questions on their products, and usually have a great selection of discounted flowers. Each design comes in a range of sizes, so if you think you like a bouquet but it could do with bulking up, this can be done easily with a click. iFlorist also offers a satisfaction guarantee, so make sure you utilise it!

6) Currys
Did you know Currys is another store that can deliver on the same day? To be fair you do have to either live within London or selected postcodes, but you can order everything except for large appliances (like fridges, dishwashers, TV’s over 39″ etc). That means you can get some really cool gifts like a DSLR or point and shoot camera delivered on the same day, sat navs, speakers and even sim free mobile phones! Currys same day service is absolutely perfect for gifts for those you hold nearest and dearest – even if you did temporarily forget to get it!
Delivery information: For just £9.99, a ll postcodes within Greater London, including Luton and Stevenage are eligible as long as you order by 9:30AM GMT. It’s an early cut off but a good trade off! If you’re not a flower person, knowing which flowers to send can sometimes be a bit tricky. Do you go with a bouquet that has roses in, even if the person you are sending them to isn’t a romantic interest? With all the different flowers available, and with each one having a different meaning, it can be a bit tough making your mind up on an arrangement.
