HP TouchPad Tablet Soars to #1 Best-Seller on Amazon

In Death, HP’s TouchPad is finally a hit.

Over the weekend, Retailers in the U. S. and Canada started Slashing the price on the ill-fated IPad competitor to as low as $99.

It turns out lowering the price will move units. The 16 GB and 32 GB models of the TouchPad currently Top Amazon. com’s best-sellers list for electronics. Amazon. com is sold out of units, however, many of its affiliates and retail partners are offering the tablet, albeit at prices that don’t match the $99 lows of the weekend.

For TouchPad owners who bought units at full price, Amazon. com and Best Buy have both adjusted their return policy, allowing early adopters the option to return their devices.

Meanwhile, PCWorld reports that HP is promising a Second wave of TouchPad units in the next few days for people that want a chance to get a tablet on the cheap.

Best Metal Detector - With So Many Out There, Which One Is Right For You?

What is the Best Metal Detector out there? Well, it depends on a lot of different things:

What you’re looking to find Who you are (man, woman, or child) Where you might be looking How much you’re looking to spend And, how serious you are regarding treasure hunting. For example, are you looking at this as a hobby, or really looking to find some serious stuff.

Metal detectors can be set up to find everything from pop cans to gold coins. Many of the models out there, Garrett for example, can be set to differentiate between quarters, dimes, or nickels. Very cool. There are different attachments that can be bought to really pinpoint a specific metal such as gold.

The reason for the topic of who you are is simply because some metal detectors are geared for children, in that they are a lot lighter. Some are a little heavier, perfect for woman or teens. Then there are larger ones, with more bells and whistles, that have a little weight to them.

There are metal detectors that can be used on the beaches, or in fields, and there are even ones that can be used underwater. If you are a scuba diver, and know of some ship wreckage, you can probably hear it now…CHI-CHING!

Metal detectors can range in prices, according to what kind of options you might have on it. There are some that are priced as low as $50, and some as high as $2000.00.

There are many stories out there with people finding great treasure using metal detectors, some have been doing it for years, and some not so long. There are even people out there that can be hired to use their metal detector if something valuable has been lost.

Some of the brands out there would be, White’s, Garrett, Bounty Hunter, American Hawk, etc. All of these are great companies, but of course, everyone has their own personal preference. The best thing to do is find out what your price range would be, review a metal detector from these companies, and decide which one is right for you.

Romantic thriller novels for teens | Writing Teen Novels

A lot of books these days for teens though include sex scenes (or maybe I’m just reading a lot of books for teens with sex scenes in them) and it seems to me that the approaches taken by authors are incredibly varied. One of my favourite authors – Simone Elkeles – is much more graphic than Meyer. I love the Perfect Chemistry series (for Alex Fuentes alone). Simone writes sex well, sensitively – a little graphically – but not too graphic to offend the teen market (except perhaps those of an evangelical Jonas Brothers persuasion). Back in my day we had to rely on Judy Blume for our sex ed…that or sneak Jackie Collins books from our parents’ top shelves (for me it was The Joy of Sex which I found in a box in the attic). I wish I’d had Simone Elkeles’s books instead. They’re strong on the swoon but also on the love angle. Sure, the scenes are heavily romanticised but the message is clear: make sure it’s with someone you love.
